Well impairment: Reducing Skin-effect
Placing air injection filters cannot be done by any drilling method.
When fine clay or silt layers are present these will smear out over the
borehole when for example hollow stem auger methods are used.
In this case air-drilling is used which reduces the smearing potential to a minimum.
