Gasworks, remedial pilot study
At the Masterton (NZ) gasworks site Geo & Hydro experimented in 1992
with a combination of aerobic and anaerobic biodegradation of PAHs (resp. light
and heavy PAHs). The tests were
carried out as part of a feasibility study, which needed to resolve the
question: to excavate and dump all contamination on the local landfill or to
treat in situ.
