Multi-level monitoring of oxygen, carbondioxyde, hydrocarbon vapours requires filters at
discrete depths, separated by solid grout layers.
One way to get the vertical depths exactly right is by
lowering the filters on a tubing (rope can not be used due to its permeability).
In this case it pays not to stand in your customers way!
