Large scale substrate injection pilot-test in Utrecht, Holland.

The pilot-test is designed (Tauw) to test several combinations of substrates in a discrete alternating groundwater flow system. Using 3 well arrays, substrate is injected in the middel while groundwater flow changes every 2- 4 weeks from direction between the outer rows of wells (30 total). Shown here is the groundwater flow control unit including the computer console which regulates the system and records data such as groundwater elevation, flow rates of the 5 pumps and errors occuring in the system. All data are transferred by modem to the offices of Geo & Hydro, Tauw and the City Council of Utrecht.
